Czech & Scottish Poetry Evening

Czech-scottish poetry night in the library 16.9

鶹Library

Come to the 鶹Library on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 6 pm, for a celebration of Czech and Scottish poetry!

Edinburgh-based Blue Diode Publishing has published some big names in Czech poetry, such as Milan Děžinský and Petr Hruška, in addition to forthcoming collections by Olga Stehlíková and Scotland-Prague-based poet Christopher Crawford.

The Czech Literary Centre, in collaboration with the 鶹Library and Karolinum Press, have invited the founder of Blue Diode, and an excellent poet in his own right, Rob A. Mackenzie, to join Blue Diode’s Czech-based poets at this poetry evening, alongside translators Jonathan Bolton, Nathan Fields, and David Vichnar.

The evening will be moderated by Jan Zikmund of the Czech Literary Centre. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
